L’installazione è costituita da una cassa per il trasporto di opere pittoriche, realizzata in modo però da contenere al suo interno un acquario abitato unicamente da piante acquatiche.

L’acquario sarà visibile solo da un lato della cassa grazie ad un apertura circolare, dall’altro si presenta invece

come una normalissima cassa da trasporto.

Come negli altri lavori del ciclo “senza ragione”, anche questo lavoro può essere considerato come una riflessione sull’utilizzo della ragione, il titolo di questo ciclo si riferisce a quella ragione che le piante non

possiedono, all’assenza di intelletto che, nonostante tutto, le ha viste comunque sopravvivere, evolversi e moltiplicarsi sino a diventare la specie più prolifera del pianeta.

Oblò (Port Hole)

The installation consists of the type of crate used for the transportation of paintings but is constructed in a way in which the inside is an aquarium housing aquatic plants. The aquarium itself is only visible from one side of the crate through a circular aperture, whilst on the other side it seems to be only a simple transportation crate. As in the other pieces in the series ‘Senza Ragione’ (Without Reason), this piece also can be considered a reflection upon the usefulness of rationality. The title of this series refers to that capacity for reasoning which plants do not possess but which, despite the absence of the intellect, nevertheless survive, evolve and self- propagate and represent the most prolific of life forms on the planet.
